How to pick an AI visibility tool

Short version? Compare four things, in this order. How many engines it watches. Whether every score comes with a confidence interval. What it actually costs once you add the engines you need. And whether it hands you a real fix or just a pretty chart.

Engine coverage comes first because your buyers are spread across ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, Perplexity, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Watch one and you are guessing about the rest. Then look at confidence intervals. These models are not deterministic, so the same question can return different answers an hour apart. A single number with no range is hiding how noisy it is. You want to know whether a drop is real or just Tuesday being Tuesday.
